How to Choose the Right Psychologist
Finding a psychologist you feel comfortable with is an important part of getting the right support. It can help to choose someone whose experience, approach and availability suit your individual needs.
When looking for a psychologist, you may want to consider:
- Their experience and areas of practice
- The types of concerns they can support you with
- Their approach to psychological support
- Whether they offer online or face-to-face appointments
- The age groups they work with
- Whether you feel comfortable with their approach and communication style
You also don’t need to know exactly what type of therapy you need before reaching out. If you’re unsure which psychologist or service may be right for you, our team can talk through your needs and help you explore the available options.
